The PAST & The FUTURE

The past has brought infinite blessings and lessons, and has been what was mean’t to be at the time was, it has given birth to the present in all its beauty, and what will come next is unseen and unknown; lets us be more than willing to believe that the best is in fact yet to come.
-Danielle steel-

O
ur lives are governed by time. We live by it and in it; and of course, we die in it. Time is ours to save and to lose. We can’t buy time, but we talk about spending it. Though we never have enough, we are time squeezed.

The problem is, we rarely live in the present moment. All too often we are living in the past, preoccupied with something that has happened to us; or we are living in the future waiting for a time when life will treat us magnificently and we will be happy; or we are worrying about what lies ahead and how we will cope. Or we may be delaying all the things we promised ourselves we would do when we have time.

We need to understand that there is no other time than this instant, and that the past and the future are abstractions without any concrete reality. Until this has become clear, it seems that our life is all past and future, and that the present is nothing more than the minuscule hairline which divides them.

Tomorrow doesn’t exist. It’s only today that is reality, if we dream of having success and happiness, we must do today that which makes such success and happiness.

IDEA OF A PERFECT PARTNER

There is no such thing as a perfect partner,. In life, what prevents us from moving forward is looking at the perfect image of a partner we think in our minds and opinions from parents, friends and relatives. Find the right person for you: one that you can love with all your heart, one you feel comfortable with and one that accepts you for the person you are. The sooner you realize there isn’t one perfect person out there for you, the better off you will be.
“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.” Bob Marley

CHANGE

CHANGE
It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. It was the age of wisdom; it was the age of foolishness. It was the epoch of belief; it was the epoch of incredulity. It was the season of light; it was the season of darkness. It was the spring of hope; it was the winter of despair. (Charles Dickens)

W
e are living in the period of profound change, on both the personal and collective level. Whatever our view of the future there is no doubt that now is an opportunity for the new beginnings. Amidst the seeming chaos of the present, there are many reasons for hope. Now is the time to let go of the worn-out past and to cross the threshold into a new era of promise. We need courage to let go, and to forgive the past.

While we hope of new opportunities, we may be fearful of change but it is through time that everything changes. We change inside, we change outside, our look change and our inner selves change. Our lives continually change, yet we are uncomfortable with change. Change means saying goodbye to an old familiar situations and facing a new unfamiliar circumstances.  Sometimes it’s not the old or the new that unnerves us; it’s the life span in-between.

You cannot read the next chapter if you keep re-reading the previous chapter; you have to let the last one go for a new one to start.” (Prince Safari)
