a fresh start-new year

The New Year brings opportunities, for there is always much to be done, And perhaps the greatest opportunity will be that of making a fresh start. We can put the mistakes of the old year, its frustrations and its disappointments out of our minds. Let us remember what we learned from our experience and wisdom that the old year gave us.

A brand new year seems like a good time to make a fresh start. That’s why we make resolutions on New Year’s Day – to do better in future. New Years Day its one of the few days when we look ahead, usually, we look backwards. We remember the many good things, but even more, we remember the bad things. It may be unconscious, but we remember the wrongs that were done to us, promises that were broken, and our failures. Sometimes we just can’t let go of the past, and get over its hurts. The future is shaped, and sometime twisted and spoilt, by the past. That’s why I like New Year Day. It’s the one day when we think ahead and reminds us of potential, not the past.

Someone once said, ‘the past is a history, the future is a mystery, today is a gift, that’s why  we call it the present; Time is the New Years generous blessings; three hundred and sixty five new mornings and magical evenings; fifty two promise filled weeks, twelve months full of beautiful possibilities; and four marvelous seasons. Let us welcome this New Year full of new beginnings and things that have never been.

A new beginning is precious, revel in it, Each breath you take is precious, celebrate it. This is the month to dream, to look forward and appreciate the year ahead. Be aware that you posses all the inner wisdom, strength and creativity needed to make your dreams come true.
