PERSIST UNTIL YOU SUCCEED
The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near
the beginning; and it’s not given to you to know how many steps are necessary
in order to reach your destination. Failure you may still encounter at the
thousand step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the road. Always
should you take another step; if that is of no avail take another and yet
another. One step at a time is not too difficult. Persist until you succeed.
Consider each day’s effort as but one blow of your blade
against a might Oak. The first blow may cause not a tremor in the wood, or the
second, or the third. Each blow, of itself may be trifling and seem of no
consequence. Yet from childish strike the
oak will eventually tumble. So it will be with your effort of the day. Persist until
you succeed.
Be like the rain drop which washes away the mountain; the
ant who devours a tiger; the star which brighten the sky. Build your castle one
brick at a time knowing that small attempts, repeated will complete any
undertaking. Persist until you succeed.
Try and try again so long as there is breath in you, for
one of the greatest principle of success; is to persist until you succeed.
Square your shoulders to the world, it’s easy to give in.
lift your head a little higher, you were meant to win, grit your teeth, but
smile, don’t frown we all must bear our bit; it’s not the load that weighs us
down, but the way we carry it.
